Electric Cigarettes or often called Vape, are a modification of conventional smoking behavior. The number of e-cigarette users increased from 516,377 people (0.3% of the population) in 2011 to more than 6 million people (3% of the population) (WHO, 2024). Vape communities have been found in many big cities. The Jabodetabek area is an urban area in three provinces in Indonesia, namely DKI Jakarta, West Java and Banten. The largest number of Vape users are teenagers, where the use of e-cigarettes has become a trend or lifestyle for teenagers. The purpose of this study was to see the perception of teenagers starting from the intention (intention) of teenagers to behave which is the result of a combination of attitudes and subjective norms and characteristics of teenagers regarding e-cigarette smoking behavior. The research method used a cross-sectional method. The population of this study were Muhammadiyah school teenagers spread across the Jabodetabek area with a quata sampling technique of 350 respondents. The results of the study were carried out through univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. The variables related to the bivariate analysis are age, pocket money and knowledge, as well as the results of the multivariate analysis. The three variables reappear, but the knowledge variable has a significant result (p <0.001) with Exp (B) = 0.079, indicating that higher knowledge can reduce positive perceptions of e-cigarettes. Overall, the knowledge variable shows a significant effect on the perception of danger, both in bivariate and multivariate analysis, while the age and pocket money variables are less significant in the multivariate model. The conclusion of the study shows that the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) perception of adolescents is directly proportional to positive subjective norms as a result of decision making not to smoke e-cigarettes
HidayatiDeni Wahyudi KurniawanRismawati PangestikaMuhammad Amir Slamet Srihadi PurnomoTotong Heri

The 2020 World Health Organization report stated that cervical cancer is the leading cause of death among women in Indonesia, with 21,003 fatalities and a mortality rate of 14.4 per 100,000 population. In Badung Regency, the incidence of cervical cancer increased from 12.1% in 2021 to 17.1% in 2022, with the highest number of cases reported in the working area of North Kuta Public Health Center (18.8%). This study aimed to analyze the relationship between knowledge, husband's support, and residence distance with IVA Test examination behavior among women of childbearing age (WCA). Methods: This quantitative study employed a cross-sectional design conducted in March-April 2024. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, and data were collected through questionnaires. Results: The study found that most respondents had sufficient knowledge (45%), lived far from the North Kuta Public Health Center (58%), and did not receive support from their husbands (69%). However, the majority of respondents (64%) had undergone an IVA Test. Chi-Square analysis revealed a significant relationship between knowledge and IVA Test examination behavior (p = 0.019) and between husband's support and IVA Test behavior (p = 0.044). Conversely, there was no significant relationship between residence distance and IVA Test behavior (p = 0.357).Conclusions: IVA Test examination behavior among WCA is associated with knowledge and husband's support but is not related to residence distance. The Public Health Center is encouraged to enhance health education about the importance of IVA Test as an early detection measure for cervical cancer.
Desak Putu Sri WardaniAsep Arifin SenjayaNi Luh Putu Sri Erawati

Background: The use of implant contraception among couples of reproductive age remains a major concern in efforts to improve reproductive health, especially in developing countries. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge, parity, and husband support with the use of implant contraception at the North Kuta Community Health Center Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD Puskesmas Kuta Utara) in 2024. Methods: This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling technique from February to March 2024, with a total sample of 38 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability (test result 0.361). Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Rank-Spearman test. Results: The results showed a significant relationship between knowledge and the use of implant contraception (p = 0.001), parity and the use of implant contraception (p = 0.05), and husband support and the use of implant contraception (p = 0.008). Good knowledge about implant contraception, high parity, and strong husband support were identified as important factors encouraging the use of implant contraception.
Hypertension is a degenerative disease that is often suffered by older people. Older people with hypertension often require long-term care in managing blood pressure to avoid complications. Chronic disease and complex management often have an impact on the quality of life of older people. Families have an important role in assisting older people with hypertension to improve their quality of life. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support and the quality of life of older people with hypertension. The method used in this study was correlation analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were older people suffering from hypertension in the working area of Puskesmas IV South Denpasar. The number of samples in this study were 110 respondents who were taken with convenience sampling technique. The research instruments used were a family support questionnaire (cronbach’s alpha 0.628) and a quality of life questionnaire (cronbach’s alpha 0.880). The results showed that most older people had good family support (69 respondents/62.7%) and most hypertensive older people had a good quality of life (70 respondents/63.6%).
The most common complication that arises in elderly individuals with diabetes mellitus is neuropathy. People often overlook neuropathy because they rarely feel its symptoms. This study is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach, with a sample size of 89 elderly patients with diabetes mellitus at the Geriatric Polyclinic of RS Tk II Udayana. Data collection was conducted through direct observation by the researcher to assess neuropathy scores using the Ipswich Touch Test. The analysis used was univariate analysis with descriptive analysis. The study found that based on the characteristics of the elderly, there were 65 people (73.03%) aged 60-74, 49 men (55.05%), 32 people (35.96%) with a high school education, and 57 people (64.04%) with diabetes for more than 5 years. The neuropathy score mostly indicated no neuropathy, with 81 people (91.01%), but 8 people (8.99%) still showed neuropathy symptoms. Elderly individuals with diabetes mellitus experience neuropathy after assessment and exhibit symptoms related to neuropathy.
