Penggunaan Media Flier dalam Penyuluhan PHBS Pada Anak di Panti Asuhan “AH” Bali Foundation

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is an important aspect in efforts to prevent disease and
improve the quality of life of children, especially children living in orphanages. This study aims to determine
the effectiveness of using flier media in improving children's knowledge about PHBS at the "AH" Bali
Foundation Orphanage. The method used is a qualitative approach with interviews. The subjects of the study
were children aged 3-9 years who lived in the orphanage. The intervention was carried out through
counseling using flier media that was designed attractively and in accordance with the child's age. Data
collection was carried out through questionnaires before and after counseling. The results of the study showeda  significant increase in children's knowledge about PHBS after being given educational fliers. Children
became more aware of the importance of washing hands, maintaining environmental cleanliness, and other
healthy living behaviors. Fliers are considered practical, easy to understand, and able to attract children's
attention. In conclusion, flier media is effective in PHBS counseling activities for children in orphanages. This
study recommends the use of fliers as one of the health education tools that can be integrated into child
development programs in social institutions.
