Abstract

Cervical cancer is cancer that develops in the cervix. The target achievement of IVA services at UPTD Puskesmas III South Denpasar District Health Service in WUS from 2020-2023 has not yet reached 100%. The prevalence of cervical cancer in Bali Province in 2018 was 2.3 per 1000 population. One of the easiest ways to carry out early detection of cervical cancer is through an Acetic Acid/ IVA Visual Inspection examination. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between knowledge and VIA examination behavior in WUS, using a quantitative research method of analytical observational type, cross sectional design. The population was 600 people with a sample of 86 people taken using purposive sampling technique. Analysis test using Chi-Square. The results of the research show that there is a relationship between the knowledge factor and IVA examination behavior in WUS as evidenced by the p value <0.05, namely 0.00. The conclusion of the research is that there is a relationship between knowledge and IVA examination behavior in WUS at Community Health Center III Denpsar Selatan. Further research needs to be carried out to dig deeper into other factors that influence VIA examination behavior and to develop effective strategies in increasing WUS participation in VIA examinations
