Breastfeeding is a natural process that is not easy to do. The scope of exclusive breastfeeding is inseparable from problems that occur in the breastfeeding process, including the false belief that breast milk comes out a little, this condition is caused by several factors including food and drinks consumed by the mother, the psychological or emotional condition of the mother, abnormal breast shape so that it cannot play a role in the breastfeeding process, baby's sucking (sucking reflex/sucking strength, sucking duration, and sucking frequency) can also affect breast milk production. New methods introduced to prevent and overcome this problem include lactation massage. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of lactation massage on breast milk production in postpartum mothers. The design of this study used one group pretest-posttest without control, the sample in this study was postpartum mothers on day 3-42 days totaling 30 with a purposive sampling technique, data analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of lactation massage on the smoothness of breast milk in postpartum mothers at the Wirati Clinic as evidenced by a p value of 0.000 <? (0.05).
