PENGARUH PENYULUHAN DETEKSI DINI KANKER SERVIKS DENGAN MOTIVASI IBU MELAKUKAN PEMERIKSAAN IVA DI KLINIK MENYALI HUSADA
Abstract
The high number of deaths due to cervical cancer in Indonesia is still a cause for concern and concern. The highest death rate for women of childbearing age after breast cancer is cervical cancer. Meanwhile, early detection of cervical cancer using the simple method of visual inspection with acetic acid (IVA) is very low. This research aims to analyze the effect of counseling on mothers' motivation to undergo VIA examinations at the Nyali Husada clinic. This research method is quantitative with a one group pre-post test approach. The dependent variable is the mother's motivation for having an IVA examination while the independent variable is health education. The sampling technique in this research was purposive sampling with a total sample of 76 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire that was given before and after receiving counseling. Next, carry out univariate and bivariate analysis by previously normalizing the data. The research results report that there is a statistically significant effect of counseling which can increase mothers' motivation to undergo VIA examinations with a p value <0.05. The conclusion is that counseling has an effect on increasing mothers' motivation to undergo VIA examinations.
