Hubungan Antara Pengetahuan, Paritas, Dan Dukungan Suami Dengan Penggunaan Kontrasepsi Implant Di Unit Pelaksana Teknis Daerah Puskesmas Kuta Utara
Abstract
Background: The use of implant contraception among couples of reproductive age remains a major concern in efforts to improve reproductive health, especially in developing countries. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge, parity, and husband support with the use of implant contraception at the North Kuta Community Health Center Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD Puskesmas Kuta Utara) in 2024. Methods: This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling technique from February to March 2024, with a total sample of 38 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability (test result 0.361). Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Rank-Spearman test. Results: The results showed a significant relationship between knowledge and the use of implant contraception (p = 0.001), parity and the use of implant contraception (p = 0.05), and husband support and the use of implant contraception (p = 0.008). Good knowledge about implant contraception, high parity, and strong husband support were identified as important factors encouraging the use of implant contraception. Conclusion: It was found that knowledge, parity, and husband support have a significant relationship with the use of implant contraception. Therefore, efforts to improve knowledge about implant contraception, understanding of parity, and husband support need to be enhanced to encourage the use of implant contraception in the community.
