Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the infectious diseases that is still a global health problem. In 2023, there were 820,789 cases (77%) per year with an increase of 42.3% per year, with a mortality rate reaching 134 thousand per year. Low levels of medication adherence are still often found in TB patients, so medication adherence is the key to successful TB treatment. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and medication adherence in TB patients. This study used a cross-sectional design, a population of 93 people and a sample of 75 people. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The independent variables include knowledge, the dependent variable is medication adherence, measured using a questionnaire and pill count sheet. Data analysis used the Spearman's rho test. The results showed that knowledge had a significant and strong relationship with r value= 0,632 and p value (p = 0.000). The conclusion of the study is that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge with medication adherence in TB patients. Research is needed on other factors related to compliance in taking tuberculosis medication
