Sleep disturbances in early childhood can affect emotional and social development. This study aims to review literature addressing the relationship between sleep patterns and the emotional health of children aged 3-5. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) method, this research identifies 7 relevant studies from scientific databases like PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Scopus, published between 2019 and 2024. Findings indicate that sleep disturbances in children are strongly associated with emotional issues such as anxiety, aggression, and difficulties in emotion regulation and social interactions. Factors such as electronic device usage before bed and non-ideal sleep environments exacerbate children's sleep quality. This study suggests educating parents on the importance of sleep for child development and establishing consistent sleep routines. A conducive sleep environment and reduced evening electronic exposure are also recommended to support children’s emotional health. The study emphasizes the need for joint interventions among parents, schools, and communities to foster healthy and sustainable sleep patterns in young children.
