Edukasi Dampak Penggunaan Smartphone pada Remaja
Abstract
The percentage of smartphone use among adolescents and school-age children is very high.
According to the results of a survey conducted by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics
in 2017, it showed > 43% of teenagers used smartphones in their daily lives. Excessive use of
smartphones can have a negative impact on adolescents. This community service activity was
carried out in three secondary schools in Central Java. The number of respondents to the activity
was 450 students. The method of implementing community service activities is lectures and
discussions, using presentation slide instruments and educational videos. The results of the
activity show that students are very interested in the information provided by the presenter. There
is feedback from students in the form of questions related to the impact of smartphone use, as well
as various kinds of myths and facts. It is hoped that this community service activity can make
students wiser in using smartphones.
