Editorial Process

The submitted manuscript will be reviewed by the editor-in-chief within 1 week for focus and scope, research methods, and manuscript completeness. (manuscript, author identity, cover letter, contribution details, and ethical clearance).

The article script that passes will be checked for plagiarism with Turnitin. If the similarity check results in >25%, the author will be asked to correct it first.

The editor in chief will designate one editor as responsible for processing the script.

The writer will check the compatibility of the manuscript with the author guidelines of JGK magazine. Next, the article will be sent to the bestari partner according to the instructions of the chief editor. If there are commentary partners that need to be corrected, the script will be re-evaluated by the script manager and forwarded to the author for correction.

The script will be submitted to the editor in chief for re-evaluation and a decision on whether it is accepted or rejected.

Received manuscripts will be processed for copyediting in order to improve language, journal style, and the quality of tables, images, and writing.

The next stage is the production process. The publication of the script will be scheduled after proof of payment is received. Before being published, the script must obtain final approval from the corresponding author.

Peer review process

The manuscript of the article entering and passing the early stage in the JGK Midwifery Journal will be reviewed by at least two reviewers in a double-blind manner.

All scripts are sent to the reviewers anonymously.

The script reviewed by the reviewer will also be sent anonymously to the author.

All reviewers must submit a review for a maximum of two weeks. However, sometimes the editor’s team needs more time to find the right reviewers.
