Hubungan Usia dan Paritas dengan Kejadian Berat Bayi Lahir Rendah (BBLR) Di RSD Kalisat

Background: Low birth weight (LBW) is a problem that still occurs in Indonesia. Based on the cause of death, the most common neonatal age is LBW at 36%. The occurrence of LBW in newborns can be caused by many factors including maternal factors such as parity, maternal education, maternal occupation, birth spacing, medical history, passive smoking mothers, maternal age at delivery, and lack of nutritional intake for pregnant women. Objective: To determine the relationship between age and parity and the incidence of LBW at RSD Kalisat Jember. Method: The type of research used is correlation with a retrospective cohort approach using secondary data with a population of 322 mothers giving birth from July to September 2024. In this study, the researcher used a total sampling technique, namely a sample where all members of the population were sampled. Then selected according to the sample criteria to become the target population, namely 192 respondents. Data analysis in this study used Chi-Square data analysis. Results: The results of the analysis using the Chi-Square test obtained significant results obtained p value = 0.772 > 0.05 (p ? ? (0.05)) which means there is no relationship between parity and the incidence of LBW at RSD Kalisat Jember Regency and with the results of the analysis using the Chi-Square test obtained significant results obtained p value = 0.450 > 0.05 (p ? ? (0.05)) which means there is no relationship between maternal age and the incidence of LBW at RSD Kalisat Jember Regency. Conclusion: There is no relationship between age and parity with the incidence of LBW at RSD Kalisat Jember Regency.
